How to use it
The common jobs, step by step. If you are stuck, the questions below or the contact page may help.
Log a reading
- On Today, type it the way you say it, for example “fasting 128, 2 roti dal at 7:30”.
- Check what the app understood, fix anything that is wrong, then save.
- Or use the forms for glucose, meals, medicines, blood pressure and weight.
Scan your meter
- Choose Scan meter and photograph the screen in good light.
- The number is read on your device and the photo is not saved or sent.
- Confirm “Your reading is…, correct?”, or choose to type it. Nothing is saved until you confirm.
Bring in a meter or sensor file
- Export a CSV file from your meter or sensor app.
- Open Import, choose the file and confirm which column is which.
- Duplicates are skipped, and you can undo an import.
Understand your numbers
- Trends shows time in range, estimated A1c, variability and a daily profile.
- Patterns always list the readings behind them.
- Every calculation is explained on its own page.
Take a report to your doctor
- Open Report and choose the period.
- Print it or save it as a PDF from your browser.
- The questions list helps you prepare for the visit.
Share with family or a carer
- Live link: updates reach them while your app is open. You choose what is included, for how long, and can turn it off at any time.
- Snapshot link: a fixed copy inside the link. It cannot be taken back once sent.
- A bar on every screen shows while sharing is on.
Back up and protect your log
- In the Privacy centre, make a backup file (encrypted if you set a passphrase) and keep it somewhere safe.
- Turn on the app lock for a code or fingerprint every time the app opens.
- Use a backup file to restore on a new device.
Install it on your phone
- In your phone browser, open the menu and choose Add to Home screen (Android) or Share, then Add to Home Screen (iPhone).
- It then opens like an app and works offline.
Questions and answers
What does beta mean?
This version is shared with a small group of testers. It is not production ready: it may have mistakes, lose data, change or stop working without notice. Keep your own records, make backups often, and never use it to make a health decision.
How do I give feedback?
Use the Send feedback link at the top of any screen or the Contact link at the bottom. Tell us what you were doing, what you expected and what happened. Please do not include personal health details.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Your log is stored on this device only. It leaves only when you export a backup or report, share a link, or use an optional feature you switched on. The privacy notice lists each case.
I lost my phone or cleared the browser. Can I get my log back?
Only from a backup file you made. Nobody else has a copy, including us. Make a backup regularly from the Privacy centre.
I forgot my app lock code.
A forgotten code cannot be recovered by anyone. You can erase the log on that device and start again, then restore from a backup file if you have one.
Smart parsing is not working.
Smart parsing is optional and needs an internet connection. When it cannot be reached, the app uses its built-in rules and asks you to check each item by hand before saving. Everything can also be entered with the forms.
The meter scan cannot read my number.
Use good light, hold the phone still and fill the frame with the screen, or tap where the number is. If it still fails, type the reading. Scanning works best on seven-segment displays.
Someone sent me a link. What do I do?
Open it and follow the notice. Only continue if you are the person it was meant for. You can pick your language at the top of the page. If it reached you by mistake, choose No and tell the sender.
Can I stop someone seeing my live link?
Yes. Turn the link off from the sharing bar or the live sharing page. Their app is asked to erase its saved copy. It cannot undo what they have already seen.
Can Ask GlucoNexa explain a reading?
Yes, in general terms: which range a number falls in and what that usually means, using your own targets. It can also suggest general food and activity ideas. Tick the box in the chat if you want it to look at your last 14 days. It never gives doses, medicine changes or a diagnosis, its answers are AI-generated, and a very low reading always gets the app's urgent steps first. Please consult your doctor before deciding anything.
An Ask GlucoNexa answer looks wrong or unsafe. What do I do?
Do not act on it. Ask your doctor or care team. Then tell us through the contact page, linked at the bottom of the chat, so it can be fixed. Answers are AI-generated and can be wrong.
Can I use it for more than one person?
Yes. Settings has separate profiles, each with its own log, targets and details.
Still need help?
Contact MSRX (opens in a new tab) with what you were doing and what you saw. Please do not send your health records by email. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
